Behavior Standards​

We encourage players to act in a way that does not disrespect or abuse any other players. Please be respectful and mindful to all players. The rules set forth on the server and on this website are in place to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all players.

Reporting Exploiters, Rule Breakers, and/or Abuse​

Reporting players helps us allow for a better quality gameplay experience for our players by maintaining a safe and friendly environment free from abuse.
Reporting a player can be done by using /modreq <message about incident>

Please note: sufficient evidence may be required to successfully investigate an incident. Please take screenshots or video of the incident/s/, if possible and attach them to your report. If you are unable to do so, a staff member will review other information (logs, etc.) to investigate the incident and make a determination on the outcome for the reported player.

Reporting Server Bugs​

Reporting bugs to our team allows us to fix and improve the gameplay experience as quickly as possible. You may also receive rewards for your report, depending on the severity of the issue. Please include as much information and detail as possible when reporting bugs so that our development team is able to understand and resolve any issues.

Behavior that is not allowed​

Examples of behaviors that are not allowed, regardless of intent, include but are not limited to:

No Destroying Player Property
This includes all built structures, chests, pets, crops, and other player property. This rule is limited to the main world only. FarmWorld and LootWorld are not protected in this ruling.

No Chat Abuse (Including Advertising)
Abusive language, inappropriate topics or jokes, misleading information, or any kind of spam (including caps abuse, or repeating messages) is not allowed.

Advertising third-party websites, servers, social media, or giveaways, also are not permitted.

Threats
Threatening to or actively doxing, DDOSing, harassing or blackmailing others, sharing personal information, or sending malicious links will result in a ban.

Unfair Advantages (Cheats, Hacks, Mods)
Disallowed modifications, macros, bug abuse, exploiting, boosting, scripting, or punishment evading, will result in an immediate ban.

Resources MUST be collected in FarmWorld
Access this world using /farmworld in-game. This world will be reset each month, so do not build any structures here.

The main world is for building, the FarmWorld is for harvesting. This is to maintain the beauty of our SMP world. Enjoy!

Game Abuse
PVP is only allowed in /lootworld.
Understand that you may lose any items you bring to this world, as players will be fighting to become the strongest clans!

Consequences​

Players found breaking these rules can expect a suspension of chat privileges or access to the EmeraldsSMP Server & Discord. Our rules are here to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all players.

Further expectations after breaking our rules:

• Staff will issue either a mute, kick, temporary warning, temporary ban, or permanent ban, depending on the severity of the issue at hand.
  
  
• A player’s behavior and their previous mutes or bans will impact the length of future punishments. An extensive log is recorded for each player, so be mindful of this.
  
  
• Over time good behavior can reduce the length of future punishments. Players may also obtain a clear record by proving that their habits have changed over time.
